These 405nm diode lasers from SHARP electronics, part number GH04W10A2GC, come in a 2 pin TO-can package. These lasers are class 4 of IEC60825-1 devices. The package type is a 5.6 electrically floating package with a photodiode and zener diode integrated into the package. This product is offered in a hermetically sealed package in which the bluet laser diode chip is mounted. The laser chip can be easily damaged by air or moisture. The following precautions should be taken when handling these devices: The glass on the package window is quite thin and is susceptible to cracking when handling.
