A Complete, All-Inclusive Solution for Laser Diode Based R&D or Product Integration Applications
These 660nm laser diodes offer 15 mW of power in CW mode. They come standard with an FC/APC connector and single mode fiber with a 900um protection buffer. A 3mm beam fiber collimator as well as PM fiber are available as options. These turn-key units include the laser diode integrated into a CCSI series control electronics and mounting unit. The laser diode driver is designed to provide high stability, low noise biasing of the laser diode. The user can adjust the current amplitude, laser diode temperature and all operating parameters.
The control electronics and mounting module for these laser diodes are based on a high stability, low noise current source. These control modules offer multiple protection features for the laser diode. They ensure that your laser diode is protected and operated safely. A user-set current limit protects the laser diode from being over-driven. The TEC controller provides a temperature limit to protect the laser diode from over-heating and thermal damage. Additionally, multiple bias current / voltage protection features are designed to keep the laser diode safe from ESD, power outages and reverse voltage.
USB and Control Software
The user can set and monitor all of the control parameters of the laser diode using the USB input and the supplied GUI software. These units ship with the USB cable to connect your PC to the connector on the side panel. A simple to use single page menu graphical user interface allows you to control all of the pulse or CW parameters as well as set current and temperature limits. Other features of these control modules include a daisy chain output, sync output, alarm monitor and back facet monitor output to monitor the laser power.
