660nm, 15mW Fiber Coupled Laser Diode Overview
The LD4B-660-FP-15-DIL-3-SMP04-FA-CW-1.0 is an InGaAlP quantum well laser diode coupled to a single-mode optical fiber and mounted in a 14-pin DIL package, with monitor photodiode, internal thermistor, and internal TEC.
The laser comes standard with single-mode fiber, terminated with an FC/APC connector; please contact us for information on fiber connector options.
Polarization maintaining fiber can be ordered as an option: Fujikura SM63, PANDA type.
Proper Handling and Operation of Diode Lasers
Diode lasers are highly susceptible to damage from ESD and from temperatures exceeding their specified safe operating range. The user is advised to use care and proper ESD safety practices when handling them to avoid damage to the laser. A properly rated low noise current source, a low thermal resistance mount and a temperature controller should be used for optimal device performance and reliability.
