Product Overview
A complete, all-inclusive solution for your 785nm laser diode test applications.
The Model 785LD-4-4-1 offers a complete, all-inclusive solution for your application. The laser diode ships with a pre-configured CCM series control electronics and mounting unit. It offers an affordable, compact, complete solution for laboratory R&D or product integration applications.
The CCM control and mount unit is an integrated laser diode driver, TEC controller, laser mount and heat sink. It is a complete control solution for the high-power laser diode. The CCM unit includes Peltier coolers to remove heat from the laser diode package. The heat sink has a fan for heat removal. The laser mounting plate is configured for the fiber coupled laser diode module. The laser diode installs onto the (Peltier) elements and is clamped down to the heat sink using the included clamping plate. The waste heat from the laser diode is dissipated through the Peltier and out through the heat sink by the integrated fan. The top clamping plate offers the user the flexibility to change the laser diode in the future by loosening the plate and replacing the laser. This control system is a convenient, compact, high-performance solution for biasing and temperature stabilizing multimode pump laser diodes.
The CCM control unit is based on a high stability laser diode current source and integrated TEC controller. The current source offers multiple stages of protection for the laser diode. The TEC controller, included Peltier elements and heat sink fan combine to keep the laser diode at a constant set-point temperature and protect the laser from over-heating. The laser diode can be replaced in the future by loosening the top clamp and installing a new laser. The CCM control system high power laser diode driver can be used in CW mode, but is also capable of deliver QCW pulses to the laser. The pulses are generated internally by an on-board pulse generator, or can be provided by an external analog modulation signal.
