Product Overview
850nm Laser Diode, 20mW, Single Mode
These 850nm laser diodes are single mode Fabry-Perot devices coupled into a SM optical fiber. They are packaged in a coaxial package and have an integrated monitor photodiode. They offer output power up to 20mW in CW mode and up to 45mW when operated in a pulsed mode. The coaxial header is installed into a double-sided heat sink and mounting bracket for simple handling and mounting as well as heat sinking. These lasers comes standard with FC/APC connector. Please contact us for information on fiber connector options.
These lasers diodes are designed for compliance with Telcordia GR-468-CORE standards. This standard is a widely recognized standard that outlines the reliability and quality assurance requirements for optoelectronic devices, particularly semiconductor laser diodes and photonic components used in telecommunications. This standard ensures the long-term performance and durability of laser diodes and optoelectronic components.
Proper Handling and Operation of Diode Lasers
Diode lasers are highly susceptible to damage from ESD and from temperatures exceeding their specified safe operating range. The user is advised to use care and proper ESD safety practices when handling them to avoid damage to the laser. A properly rated low noise current source, a low thermal resistance mount and a temperature controller should be used for optimal device performance and reliability.
