1480nm Fitel FOL1402PAO-322 120mW Pump Laser Diode, S Fiber, SC/PC Connector
The FOL1402PAO series has been designed for use in a wide variety of applications. A strained multi-quantum well laser diode chip is integrated with a thermo-electric cooler (TEC), thermistor and PIN photodiode in a hermetically sealed 14-pin butterfly package. A 2-lens-system couples round light from the laser chip efficiently to the fiber and enables output powers up to 140 mW. This series complies with telecom requirements described in TelcordiaTM GR-468 requirements and is manufactured in an ISOTM9001 certified production line.
Proper Handling and Operation of Laser Diodes:
Laser diodes are highly susceptible to damage from ESD and from temperatures exceeding their specified safe operating range. The user is advised to use care and proper ESD safety practices when handling them to avoid damage to the laser. A properly rated low noise current source, a low thermal resistance mount and a temperature controller should be used for optimal device performance and reliability.
