Product Overview
These turn-key ultra-fast laser pulse pickers use an acousto-optic modulator (AOM) and advanced synchronization electronics to select an output pulse from an optical pulse train. The input frequency is detected by an internal photodiode or by using the customer input trigger. Three discreet pulse picker synchronization modes allow the user to get the output pulses at the desired frequency with a very low insertion loss and an excellent rejection ratio of the input frequency.
The Turn-Key Pulse Picker AOM is designed and optimized to modulate the intensity of light down to the nanosecond timing range in order to reject pulses with a high extinction ratio and keeping other pulses with a very low insertion loss. It is an ideal solution for laser pulse picking of mode-locked laser oscillators. The GUI software lets the user have total control of all module functions. It includes several libraries for software integration (LabVIEW VIs, DLLs, Hexa, Python etc.). Complex systems, such as fiber lasers, can be quickly developed on this module platform.
