Product Overview
980nm Laser Diode, 15W Output Power, Fiber-Coupled Module
These 980nm, 15W wavelength stabilized laser diodes provide high ex-fiber output power for medical applications, laser machining, and scientific research.
The laser features an internal thermistor to help with configuring an active heat removal system to maintain the laser diode temperature in a safe operating range. The internal photodiode can be used to monitor the laser diode output, and can be used to operate the laser diode in constant power mode. A low power red aiming beam is also included.
These laser diodes are offered through Laser Lab Source in North America. They are manufactured by RealLight Technology, an industry leader specializing in the research, development, and manufacturing of semiconductor lasers for spectral analysis and pumping applications.
Power-Efficient Laser for Spectroscopic Applications
These 10W lasers offer an efficient electrical input to optical output power. The typical knee for the threshold point is at less than 1.4 amps and they achieve full power operation at roughly 8 amps of current. The standard fiber has a core diameter of 200 μm and is terminated with a standard SMA-905 style connector. Other connector styles and core diameters are available on request.
